Online launch of the AIEA’s INIS database for French Higher Education and Research on a platform with advanced features.
The International Nuclear Information System - INIS hosts one of the world’s largest bibliographic database on the peaceful uses of nuclear science and technology. INIS covers also the economic and environmental aspects of non-nuclear energy sources (fossil fuels, renewables, hydrogen).
INIS is operated by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in collaboration with 131 member countries and 24 International Organizations. France is represented by the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA).
The INIS website in nuclear sciences and technologies, energies and the environment is run by the Inist-CNRS and is the result of the cooperation between the CEA and the CNRS. Its aim is to provide advanced search functions, a trilingual interface and the possibility for users to set up a user account and archive searches which is useful for scientific monitoring, for example.
The site contains the whole of the INIS database since 1970 - over 4 million bibliographic references - and is updated every month.
This site is currently reserved for members of CEA and CNRS
For CNRS personnel it can only be accessed via the BibCNRS portal.
