-  The Pascal bibliographic database has a rich collection of over 20 million references and has existed since 1973. It has redefined the scope of its coverage around seven interdisciplinary fields at the core of current debate in science: Energy, Environmental issues, Materials, Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies, Safety, Cognition, Digital Communication and Information.

By promoting the circulation and visibility of research outputs, these subject-oriented databases will support the work of scientists, industry and decision-makers faced with these new challenges of worldwide importance and concern which are identified as priorities in many French and European research programmes of strategic significance.
A set of 150 disciplines covered by 7 overall fields (see the disciplines for each field)

Inist-Abes Theses Partnership

Abes and Inist-CNRS have concluded a partnership agreement for the promotion and dissemination of data from the Sudoc collective catalogue. This has meant that as of 2013 Pascal’s scientific coverage has been enriched by over 180,000 theses from the French national theses collection dating from 2000 to the present (the database is enriched by 1500 new theses every month).

Pascal’s international position in disseminating European research has been further strengthened by this partnership with the databases’ long-term coverage of scientific journals enriched by the integration of grey literature (theses, reports, conference proceedings).
